If you are only pumping water, the cast iron 4101C is recommended. You can also use the cast iron pump for agricultural chemical spraying but you may want to switch to Ni-Resist or Silvercast (XL) for longer life. It is recommended to use the 23120a-1\/2pp or 6815-1\/2 model regulator with this pump. It is also recommended that you purchase a repair kit for this pump at the same time you purchase the pump so it is handy just in case your pump experiences frictional wear.
